Job Summary

Job Description:. St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is seeking a director to oversee the daily operations of the schools after-school care program and summer care programs. This is a year-round part-time position. We are looking for someone who will create a nurturing learning environment and has a passion for hands-on activities and inquiry-led learning. The director will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences in after-care and summer care that advance the intellectual emotional social and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered safe and healthy learning environment. We are looking for someone who will collaborate with school leadership staff and families to create a program that reflects and supports the holistic development of each child. This is a grant-funded position. Schedule -School year: (39 weeks) -Monday - Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm -Summer: (8 weeks) Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm Benefits Employees will earn 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked Days off on school year planned breaks: 2 weeks Christmas 1 week spring break Fridays off in the summer 1 week 4th of July 3 days over Thanksgiving. Retirement plan Professional learning assistance Daily planning time Discounted daily in-house lunches Candidates must meet the following qualifications: Bachelors Degree in education child development or related field Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies Strong organizational communication and leadership skills Proficient usage and integration of technology in the classroom setting Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars in-services and training Commitment to upholding and modeling the values and teachings of the Catholic Church CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training) Must have or willing to take Virtus Protecting Gods Children TrainingPlease send electronic letters of interest and resumes along with an employment application ( to: St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School Sarah Kleinschmit Early Childhood Director
