Senior Software Quality Specialist

Boeing Global Services is seeking a Senior Software Quality Specialist (Quality Systems Specialist) to support our Digital Services business. As part of a global quality organization you will provide end-to-end quality management guidance to leaders business units and cross-functional teams. Your primary responsibilities will draw on deep knowledge of the software quality discipline to ensure requirements project plans test procedures and results meet established software quality standards.

A successful candidate will have proven quality management experience in a services delivery or software business ideally in the aviation industry along with strong expertise in internal auditing and process conformance oversight.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead the development and refinement of new work practices techniques and quality standards; recognized as a go-to expert within the Quality organization

• Plan and execute software and system level audits to determine configuration assurance and compliance with industry standards (e.g. AS9100) aviation regulations and customer requirements

• Develop and deliver tailored training coaching and guidance on audits root cause analysis CAPA continuous improvement and quality management principles

• Partner with stakeholders to define implement and maintain meaningful quality metrics and dashboards that enable data-driven decisions and measure process health

• Design and implement innovative solutions for complex quality problems ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements

• Advise and collaborate with senior leadership to design and deploy process improvements that affect multiple teams and locations driving measurable operational gains

• Operate with a high degree of autonomy setting objectives and selecting approaches while ensuring consistent compliant outcomes across assignments

• Continuously expand your expertise in software quality and best practices to strengthen organizational capability

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

• 10 years of experience working with software development DO-200 aeronautical data production tools or within a software quality assurance role

• 10 years of experience applying process improvement and problem-solving methodologies (root cause analysis CAPA)

• Strong written verbal and presentation skills; ability to communicate technical and compliance concepts to leadership and technical teams

• Demonstrated ability to perform audits and generate actionable findings and corrective action plans.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)

• AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is highly desired

• Experience working with RTCA DO-200/ED-76 and AC 20-153 is highly desired

• Professional certifications such as ASQ CQA or equivalent
