Job Summary
- ICU RN
- 100 MILE RADIUS RULE
- 12hr - weekend holiday and call required
- Nights
- 13 weeks
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current critical care experience preferred.
- Must have a current RN license.
- Traveler must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment. New travelers will not be considered.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles ability to provide quality patient care and ability to assess patients needs e.g. clinical teaching mental and spiritual.
- Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts or move patients in a safe manner.
- Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate.
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
- Excellent interpersonal organizational written and verbal communication skills required.
- Current NYS RN license.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.
- PALS preferred.
- Coronary care course or successful completion of challenge exam within orientation period.
- Basic lethal dysrhythmia within six months of employment
- NIHSS certification within the first 6 months of employment.
- Previous Samaritan employees have to be gone at least 2 years and be eligible for rehire to be considered. (Contact facility for inquires)
