The Recreation Attendant plays a critical supporting role within the Department of Safety & Rescue. This position exists to extend safety visibility and guest support beyond the waters edge ensuring that recreation areas grounds and common spaces remain orderly welcoming and safe. Recreation Attendants are often the first point of contact for guests and serve as an important set of eyes and ears for the supervisory and lifeguard teams. Your awareness and professionalism directly contribute to incident prevention and positive guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor parking lots playgrounds picnic areas and surrounding grounds for safety concerns
- Greet guests answer questions and provide clear guidance to support a positive experience
- Assist with special events recreational programming and crowd monitoring
- Maintain situational awareness and report safety issues to Lifeguard Officers or venue leadership
- Reinforce posted rules and safety expectations through professional interaction
- Support lifeguard and supervisory staff during high-traffic or elevated-risk periods
- Model departmental core values of rescue readiness ownership and integrity
- Complete assigned training and follow operational procedures consistently
What You Bring
- Minimum age of fifteen (15) years at time of hire
(Ages 15 require valid work permit) - Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to remain alert observant and proactive in dynamic environments
- Willingness to follow direction accept feedback and work as part of a team
- Previous customer service or team-based experience preferred
- Participation in organized sports or mission-driven groups preferred
