Santander Asset Managementarelooking for aFund Operations Oversight Associatebased out ofGlasgow.
This role performs processes and controls within the scope of the operations team which primarily involves the oversight ofa number ofthird-party suppliers who provide services across fund accounting middle officecustodyand transfer agency for UK OEICs and unit trusts.
The team is also responsible fora number ofinternal processes including invoice review client service reporting regulatory reporting and incident and risk management reporting.You will provide support to the wider business on all operational aspects of product change overseeing the third-party suppliers to ensure projects are delivered ina timelyand controlled manner.

Ensuringthe delivery and accuracy of the daily NAV and associated dealing activity:
NAV oversight controls
Timely resolution of NAV related queries/issues
Swing factor and swing basis review
Fair value pricing (FVP) events & oversight
Estimated and confirmed dealing review including monitoring large deals.
Cash & stock reconciliations
Completing key CASS activities: reviewing daily client money reconciliations CASS RP CASS QA Testing Internal and external auditmanagementand general adherence to the CASS oversight model.
Overseeing and filing of interim and annual financial statements.
Liaise with external auditor to ensuretimelyresolution of queries
Liaise internally to collate required data i.e. performance figures investment commentary
Ensure necessary controls are performed ahead of sharing with ACD committee for sign off
Completion of other Operations activities including but not limited to:
Oversight and supporting the trade life cycle through matching and settlement.
Corporate actions processing
Margins payments
Invoice review and payment processing
Complaint handling ensuring regulatory obligations including those around timelines are met.
Oversight of the AML & KYC process for client onboarding and AML refresh events.
Calculation and payment of fund distributions
Fund expense monitoring (OCF & transaction costs)
Management of the rebate process
WHT reclaims & completion of relevant tax documentation

Professional Experience
Previousexperience working across FATAor custody either with a fund administrator or asset/investment manager.This should include excellent technical knowledge of UK Collective Investment Schemes
Understanding of relevant regulations such as: CASS COBS COLL Sourcebook GDPR and SORP
Excellent organisational skills to ensure work schedules are adhered to and that all reporting tasks are tracked and completed ina timelyandaccuratemanner with the ability to prioritise accordingly
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with a pro-active and professional attitude to work
Team player who has the capability to build good relationships both internally and externally including comfortability around liaising with senior management (preferred)
Experience of involvement with projects including fund changes closures mergers (preferred)
Marketvendorssystemknowledge(Bloomberg Reutersetc) (preferred)
Education
Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or equivalent modules (preferred)
Professional Accounting Qualification i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (preferred)
