Job Summary

YOUR TASKS

This role involves inspecting tires and semi-products to ensure compliance with Continental Tire quality standards identifying and addressing non-conformities and documenting findings in systems like SPC and CGMS. It also includes supporting continuous improvement through CBS meetings problem-solving and performance management activities.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Execute tire inspection to ensure product quality level compliance with Continental Tire WW standards
  • Must be able to pass titmus eye exam with/without correction and color blindness to perform tasks
  • Utilize refer to and perform tasks using Continental Tire WW semi-product off-standard standards catalogue and QMS standards (ISO/TS16949 CCC etc.)
  • Inspect semi-products from preparation to curing according to control plans
  • Take the necessary actions in case of non-conformities (inform relevant production personnel stop the next process from using the off-standard material blocking of semi-products and items produced with off-standard material)
  • Apply non-conformance procedure and complete over-inspection checklists
  • Enter data into the electronic SPC data collection system where applicable and
  • Knowledge of CGMS system and produce daily report for quality engineers
  • Weigh and classify waste in waste collection area and enter/collect data
  • Complete error proofing verification
  • Support the Continental Business System (CBS) structure by participating in the applicable CBT meeting reviewing and managing his/her/team performance conducting simple problem-solving using action sheets identifying and implementing improvement opportunities participating in the CBT reviews and taking ownership for presented parts of the team boards
  • Be self-managed detail-oriented and capable of performing under pressure
  • Follow all plant ESH CBS quality and department processes and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection safety shoes safety glasses (as needed)
  • 12-hour 2-2-3 pattern (panama) night shift 6:45pm-7:00am including every other weekend and overtime as needed
  • You may be exposed to forklift and pedestrian traffic and noise
  • The role involves various physical tasks including bending climbing heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
  • This role starts at $21.32 an hour. Pay may change for internals depending on current hourly rate

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years experience in manufacturing
  • Previous certification in either the tire build/cold prep/quality department (operator setup etc.)
  • Must be able to work assigned shift for this position
  • Must be able to pass color vision exam
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

  • Previous data analysis experience in a working environment
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Continental Tire quality department experience
