Job Summary

SUMMARY: The Revenue Cycle Director will provide strategic leadership and vision for revenue cycle management of Columbus Oncology Associates Inc. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all revenue cycle activities with a goal of maximizing reimbursement in a cost effective manner that is in compliance with federal state and payer-specific billing requirements. The Revenue Cycle Director will collaborate with the executive leadership physician group management team and related staff to assure that all aspects of the revenue cycle are compliant and meet the service and quality standards established by the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These are the duties that define this job and are required to be performed by the incumbent. Other essential duties may be assigned.
  1. Oversee and maintain a robust revenue cycle management infrastructure including charge capture billing collections posting and payer engagement to support the financial health of the practice.
  2. Build manage and maintain payer relationships; lead payer contracting negotiations compliance and analysis of financial impact related to managed care contracts and fee schedules.
  3. Monitor interpret and ensure compliance with Medicare Medicaid and all other payer regulations billing policies credentialing standards and legislative changes; develop action plans audits education and process improvements as needed.
  4. Utilize practice management systems and reporting tools to monitor performance define KPIs prepare financial and operational reports and support budgeting forecasting and strategic planning initiatives.
  5. Provide leadership oversight and direction to revenue cycle and patient services teams including patient registration benefit verification estimates financial assistance and customer service functions.
  6. Manage staff performance and operations by assigning workloads setting priorities conducting evaluations providing coaching and orientation supporting morale and ensuring adequate coverage during absences or high patient volume.
  7. Serve as a key liaison with executive leadership physicians managers and staff to ensure effective communication operational alignment and accurate handling of billing and payment activities.
  8. Promote and model patient-centered customer service addressing complex patient concerns and ensuring staff engagement in service excellence.
  9. Develop and maintain the revenue cycle budget and operating plan; analyze trends and adverse impacts to support financial planning and sustainability.
  10. Actively participate in practice leadership strategic initiatives and long-term planning to support quality care delivery regulatory compliance and private practice viability.
  11. Uphold professional ethics workplace safety standards and organizational policies at all times.
