Undergraduate Placement Year 2026 – HSE (Health, Safety and Environment Intern)

The Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Department is responsible for protecting the health safety and wellbeing of employees contractors and visitors while ensuring the organisation operates in an environmentally responsible and legally compliant manner.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• The HSE Intern will be responsible for the daily running of the department.
• Managing the process of accident incident and near misses.
• Managing the occupational health appointments for associates on site.
• Communicating between departments and assisting with the company management systems.
• Networking with departments and identifying gaps in practice.

Qualifications :

Please note that to be eligible for this role you must be an undergraduate student seeking a placement year as part of your degree - if you do not meet these criteria please consider applying for other positions.

Our ideal candidate must have:

• Strong IT Skills and experience with Microsoft Software
• Willingness to learn and follow safe systems of work
• Good communication skills
• Good organisational skills

Our ideal candidate should have:

• An interest in Health Safety and Environment.
• Studying a degree in a relevant field.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week standard working pattern of 08:00 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunchbreak
