Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Safety: Create a safety culture through productive and authorized operational systems/processes that allow all employees (including contracting partners) to provide their outputs in a risk-controlled environment. Oversee consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
2. Performance and Delivery
- Lead the implementation of the Contractor Management Process across designated sites ensuring adherence to timelines standards and governance requirements.
- Ensure effective utilization of the Contractor Management System maintaining data integrity and accuracy to support compliance and reporting.
- Monitor and report contractor performance metrics including headcount compliance and risk indicators and support improvement initiatives to address gaps.
- Verify contractor scope from engineering and commercial perspectives ensuring quality standards are embedded throughout tendering execution and close-out phases.
- Maintain the contractor assurance framework conduct compliance checks and ensure adherence to legal regulatory and internal standards.
- Track and monitor expenditure against approved budgets and escalate out-of-budget requests for review and approval in line with governance requirements.
- Compile and analyse contractor performance data (cost schedule adherence quality outcomes) and prepare accurate reports to inform decision-making.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders including Commercial Supply Chain SHE and People & Organisation teams to ensure contractor performance supports business priorities.
- Support the contractor feedback process ensuring mechanisms are in place to address suggestions complaints and recommendations effectively.
- Identify opportunities for scope consolidation ensuring alignment with Delegation of Authority (DOA) requirements to optimize efficiency.
- Provide guidance on Scope of Work (SoW) development ensuring risk assessments SHE and Social Performance requirements and KPIs are incorporated before submission
3. People & Teams:

4. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory legislative and permitting requirements.
Qualifications :
- Relevant technical Tertiary qualification (Mining Engineering Processing)
Experience
- A minimum of 4 years experience ideally 4 - 7 years in contractor performance management cost control and governance within mining refining or heavy industry environments.
Knowledge and Skills
- Solid understanding of scope of works budgeting principles and refinery process risk management.
- Experience in audit assurance or project governance will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks related to procurement and their operational impact.
- Proven experience in strong stakeholder engagements. Proven project management experience
- Strong commercial acumen combined with sound engineering understanding.
- Highly analytical detail-oriented and solutions-focused.
- Demonstrates integrity and fairness in applying governance standards.
- Skilled in influential communication and constructive challenge.
