Team mission
The Analytics departments mission is to enable the organisation to take action based on data. We work on a variety of problems and datasets as members of cross-functional mission teams. We take ownership of the entire analytics funnel from exploration through recommendations to impact measurement and take pride in the insights we generate.
As a Senior Data Analyst in the Product Analytics team you will help drive measurement strategy and tactical decision-making within GetYourGuide. You will solve problems that could range from understanding how to best display our inventory to travelers; how can travelers explore refine and compare; or developing a way to measure whether our customers on trip experience is optimal.
Your mission
- Develop quantitative analysis to understand customer problems and drive product decisions
- Help the Traveler group to learn about their features impact by designing and analyzing Experiments.
- In collaboration with stakeholders identify opportunities and dependencies.
- Collaborate with Products and Engineering leads to develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end product experience.
- Design and implement data models metrics and dashboards to guide the teams product strategy and success.
- Support the technical teams in tracking and producing more insightful data.
- Contribute to the learning and experimentation culture of the company by promoting hypothesis-driven product development and evaluation.
- Answer the big questions to push our knowledge of our customers further.
- Contribute to the strategic thinking of the team by being a thought partner to the Product Manager.
Your toolkit
- 5 years of relevant experience interpreting data in an analytics or data science role.
- Previous experience working with agile product teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management & communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
- Strong experience designing and analyzing product experiments (eg. AB testing or quasi experiments)
- Strong statistical background and proficiency with advanced statistical methods (e.g. causal inference methods difference-in-differences regression analysis propensity score matching)
- Ability to understand user behavior and meaning behind the numbers and translate them into actionable insights
- Systems-oriented thinking ability to connect the dots between multiple parts of the business in order to understand overall customer experience.
- Practical solution-oriented mindset with a focus on driving customer and business impact.
- Desire to work in an international environment with minimal direction in ambiguous situations and with highly engaged individuals.
Extras that give you an edge
- Experience processing event tracking data at scale.
- Familiarity with machine learning evaluation or model-driven personalisation is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Looker Jupyter Notebooks)
- Experience with marketing experimentation
- Experience with LLM (OpenAI Gemini Anthropic).
