Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Associate Principle - Studio Manager for the Architecture and Urbanism division of the Global Business Area Places specifically within the Industrial Facilities and Mission Critical practice. The Studio Manager will report to the Practice Group Manager Industrial Facilities and Mission Critical Canada West and will be located in the Arcadis office in the Toronto ON office.

As the Studio Manager the role will lead the effective andefficientStudiooversightrespectivein line withGlobal Architecture & Urbanism (GAU)Division strategyandfinancial targets and a focus onoperational efficiency andworkforce optimization.

Role accountabilities:

Implement the GAU Division strategy:

  • Manage the Studio with accountability for client solutions resource utilization project delivery quality andprofitability. Conduct weekly staff meetings.
  • Manage Studio budget and track performance of project teams against approved business plan; initiate correctiveaction as required to achieve targets for profitability billings and collections.
  • Develops annual revenue targets capacity budgets and business plans in consultation with the Business UnitDirector and Practice Group Managers.
  • Drive (local) office marketing activities review all proposals and contractsto ensureconsistencywithcountrysapproved business plan with adherence to the Arcadis professional standards and policies.
  • Competent in leading largecomplex full-service projects with long-term solutioningand ongoingclientrelationships.

Build strong relationships and create successful teams

  • Develop and coach Studio members to achieve high performance growth and personal development.
  • Interface with GOPS (including BPODtR MEPC and Quality) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Make recommendations on the recruitment hiring discipline and staff reductions in consultation with seniorcolleagues.
  • Support the growth objectives of the Country Practice Group:
  • Develop implement and execute innovation and effective solutions for projects (working incollaboration with the Growth team)
  • Facilitate cross-Studio collaboration
  • Mentor and coach team members and future leaders

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or post-graduate qualification and/or fellowship in an appropriate professional institution
  • Professional Interior Designer Registered Architect or equivalent preferred
  • Deep expertise in a key service line and sector
  • Substantial experience (10 years or more) in a discipline including 5+ years experience in Engineering/Infrastructure consultancy
  • Experience leading and implementing complex business change solutions
  • Experience managing business relationships at executive level
  • Experience managing teams across geographies
  • Significant experience on large-scale/highly complex projects

The salary range for this position is $120000-$160000. The base salary represents Arcadis hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors such as location skills experience and qualification for the role.
