Your Purpose in this Role
We are one of the top premier Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Contractors in the state of Arizona. We are looking for growth-motivated and self-starting individuals who value efficiency reliability and family.
As a Plumbing/Piping Superintendent you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning coordination and execution of plumbing and piping installations for various construction projects. You will be responsible for managing on-site operations ensuring adherence to project schedules quality standards and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and piping systems exceptional leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with project teams.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
Subcontractor Relations:
Material Procurement and Inventory Management:
Coordinate with suppliers vendors and Project Managers to procure plumbing / Piping materials fixtures and equipment required for the project. Maintain an inventory of plumbing materials and equipment ensuring that they are adequately stocked and available as needed. Monitor material costs and optimize procurement processes to stay within budget constraints.
Supervision and Leadership:
Quality Control and Assurance:
Cost Management and Budget Control:
Monitor project expenses related to plumbing work including labor materials equipment and subcontractor services. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies without compromising quality or safety standards. Prepare and submit regular progress reports and cost projections to project management highlighting any variances or deviations from the budget.
Client Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for plumbing-related issues and inquiries from clients architects engineers and regulatory authorities. Provide regular updates and progress reports. Addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Foster positive relationships with clients striving to exceed their expectations and deliver successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing and piping construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes standards and regulations.
- Must possess excellent leadership and management skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Should have a thorough understanding of safety regulations protocols and best practices.
- Project Management Skills including scheduling budgeting and resource allocation.
- Candidate should be adept at problem-solving able to identify issues promptly and implement solutions.
- Flexible schedule JOC work often requires operations to take place at nights or weekends.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to Personal Divisional and Company Success
- Experience with state local and federal Government facilities preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints drawings and specifications.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass Background check.
