TheUndersea Systems Division (USD)at Leidos currently has an opening for a Software Development Internto work in our San Diego CA the leading edge of technology by designingdemonstrating and deploying solutions to solve complex remote sensing problems for our Department of Defense is an exciting opportunity to contribute to system development and to gain experience for an individual with interest in maritime remote sensing physics sensors systemprototyping algorithm and software development statistics machine learning and artificial intelligence. Our focus is to develop capabilities and deployable prototypes and transition those to our Defense business segment
Primary Responsibilities: The candidate will be supporting a DoW program called Pulling Guard as a Software development intern. Under the mentorship of Leidos technical staff responsible for code development on various algorithms in sensing and sensemaking.

Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in computer science or related field of study
Python Rust Java C (a master of one or more exposure to all)
Gitlab or other software repository and issue system
Develop software working with the team in an innovative program
Support software test
US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
