ChevronENGINEhas an exciting opportunity foraMarine Training Center Leadto join theSubsea Civil and Marine Engineering team. Reporting to theManager this role will be based inChevronsofficein Bengaluru.
The Training Center Leadis responsible forthe overall management strategic direction and operational excellence of the ENGINEMarineTraining Center. This role supervises the Marine Nautical and Marine Engineering Instructors ensuring the delivery of high-quality compliant and industry-leading training programs. The Lead will drive continuous improvementmaintainaccreditation and ensure all training aligns with Chevron marine training requirements policies and best practices.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Lead mentor and supervise a team of Marine Nautical and Marine Engineering Instructors.
Oversee recruitment onboarding and professional development of instructional staff.
Foster a culture of safety compliance and continuous improvement.
Training Program Oversight
Ensure the development scheduling and delivery of all training programs (nautical and engineering) meet Chevron and international standards.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of annual training calendars and ensureoptimalresourceutilization.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness incorporating feedback and lessons learned from fleet operations and industry developments.
Compliance & Accreditation
Ensure all training activitiescomply withChevron marine training requirements policies and practices as well as international maritime regulations (e.g. STCW SOLAS MARPOL).
Maintain and enhance trainingcentreaccreditation status.
Standardize and improve training documentation processes and reporting.
Course Development & Quality Assurance
Oversee the design update and delivery of simulation-based and classroom training for both nautical and engineering disciplines.
Ensure course content is currentaccurate and aligned with Chevrons operational needs and regulatory requirements.
Promote innovation in training delivery including the integration ofnew technologiesand methodologies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Vendor Management
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including Fleet Personnel Management team HR Fleet Operations and external vendors.
Coordinate with simulator vendors for setup updates and troubleshooting.
Manage training budgets cost controls and vendor relationships.
Assessment & Competency Management
Oversee the assessment of trainee performance and competency management systems.
Ensure robust processes for remediation intervention and continuous improvement.

To be considered for this role applicants should have:
Certification:
Bachelors degree in marine engineering Nautical Science or STCW-compliant Certificate of Competency (Chief Engineer or Master Mariner preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in maritime training and 5 years experience in a supervisory or management role within marine operations shoreside after sailing as a Sr. Officer onboard the Chevron Fleet.
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
