Job Summary

About the role

The candidate will be a key member of the APAC Actuarial team and the Taiwan Management team based in the Taiwan office. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist Taiwan Appointed Actuary with reserve calculations solvency assessments stress test analysis actuarial report preparation and regulatory reporting
  • Handle audit coordination for actuarial components ensuring seamless collaboration with external auditors and regulators
  • Execute IFRS 17 results and produce relevant reports on a timely basis to meet Taiwan regulatory deadlines
  • Manage capital adequacy and solvency projections in accordance with Taiwan RBC and ICS requirements
  • Assist with Taiwan rate filings including rate adequacy assessments and regulatory submissions
  • Assist with financial reporting consolidation between Singapore parent company and Taiwan subsidiary
  • Take part in regional reserving work
  • Strong ownership in improving process efficiency

What we are looking for:

  • Actively pursuing actuarial qualification exams
  • At least 5 years of experience in actuarial field in Taiwan
  • Knowledge in reserving capital & solvency calculation IFRS 17 and Taiwan regulatory environment
  • Effective time and project management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to forge relationships with other areas of the business
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel MS Access VBA.
  • Knowledge in R Python a plus
