Job Summary

Christ the King Catholic School on the northside of Indianapolis is looking to hire a daytime school maintenance employee starting July 2026. The school maintenance employee is responsible for maintaining a safe clean and functional learning environment for students staff and visitors. This role performs routine maintenance minor repairs and preventative upkeep of school buildings grounds and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
-Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry and painting
-Conduct routine inspections of buildings classrooms restrooms and common areas
-Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations
-Set up and break down rooms for events meetings and school activities
-Ensure compliance with safety regulations and school policies
-Maintain tools equipment and maintenance logs
-Coordinate with administrators teachers and outside vendors as needed
-Support cleaning and custodial duties when required

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED required
-Prior maintenance custodial or facilities experience preferred
-Basic knowledge of building systems and repair techniques
-Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
-Valid drivers license

Preferred Skills:
-Experience in a school or institutional setting
-HVAC electrical or plumbing knowledge
-Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA guidelines
-Good communication and time-management skills
