Position Summary
The Action Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking food live in front of guests during a golf tournament event. This role requires strong culinary skills professionalism speed and the ability to engage with guests while maintaining high food quality and safety standards. The Action Chef ensures food is prepared according to event standards while delivering an excellent guest experience.
This is a seasonal role from February 10 2026 and will end on June 10 2026.
This role pays an hourly rate of $19.50
This position will remain open until June 10 2026.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food live at action stations (ex: omelet station carving station pasta station grill station etc.)
- Maintain high-quality food presentation and portion control
- Follow all recipes event menus and production guidelines
- Ensure food is cooked safely and served at proper temperatures
- Maintain a clean organized and professional cooking station at all times
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner while cooking
- Restock station supplies as needed throughout the shift
- Assist with food prep before service and breakdown/clean-up after service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (including proper glove use and handwashing)
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth service
- Support kitchen team with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook chef or station chef required (action station experience preferred)
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to cook quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 4050 lbs
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be reliable punctual and able to work long event shifts
- Must be able to work weekends and early mornings depending on tournament schedule
- Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
