Position Purpose: The Cook at Ellen Kennedy Living Center is responsible for assisting in providing high quality and appropriate food service to meet the nutritional needs of all tenants.
What you will do:
Prepare and serve all hot foods and entrees for tenants staff and visitors.
Prepare and deliver food to the second floor serving kitchen for independent living tenants and visitor meals.
Serve and handle foods in a sanitary manner and maintain a sanitary environment by washing and sanitizing dishes pots pans and refrigerators.
Check menu and take necessary meat out of the freezer for thawing.
Perform baking functions when scheduled by following established recipes
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months experience in quantity food service required.
Formal or on-the-job training in institutional quantity food production preferred.
Work requires the ability to read English and understand written instructions
