Job Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing repairs preventive maintenance QA electrical safety installation and technical advice on a variety of clinical and non-clinical electronic and electromechanical equipment including computers printers and secondary responsibility for Telecommunications equipment.
Education/Skills Required:
1. Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology preferred.
2. Valid drivers license required.
3. Previous electronic experience and/or internship required.
4. Military or manufacturer training/experience may be acceptable.
5. Required skills and knowledge: anatomy and physiology medical terminology chemistry biology physics electronic theory (including digital theory) troubleshooting theory and medical equipment theories; as well as strong organizational and mechanical skills.
As applicable the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
