Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum OB/GYN Physician in Richmond VA

Join a collaborative team with a reputable OB/GYN practice in the charming city of Richmond Virginia. This facility offers a supportive environment with a blend of office and hospital duties for experienced Locum OB/GYN Physicians (MD/DO) while covering for a physician on medical leave. The practice is known for its focus on both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies as well as gynecological procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to a diverse patient population.
Perform routine deliveries including vaginal births and C-sections.
Conduct prenatal care and low-risk pregnancy management.
Interpret and perform obstetric ultrasounds.
Carry out necessary gynecological procedures including IUD placements and laparoscopic surgeries.
Collaborate with a team of midwives and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Participate in call rotations including weekend coverage.
Document patient care in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Qualifications:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
Experience in managing low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
Proficiency in OB procedures including deliveries and gynecological surgeries.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

License and Certification Requirements:

Active Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation.
