Key details about the role and the candidate

Technical support for main equipment including development of relevant strategies and advice on technical quality and function of the main ownership for a group of equipment und develop a unique expertise in this field acting as the last resort of technical advice within the company. Stive for being the top level technical advisor.

You and the role

Being an expert in your technical field of expertise precise in the fact finding accurate in the evaluation and problem solving. You have a hands-on mentality to get things done. You are open to ask for help to overcome natural limitations and see tasks from different angles you communicate fact based to achieve results. You like to be around with other nationalities and different cultures.

Primary responsibilities

• Carry out on-site inspections and audits including damage assessment if necessary and report if appropriate.
• Ministration and evaluation of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Technical tender budgeting for land rigs
• Administration of costs for new acquisitions repairs refurbishment and overhaul of the main equipment including budget planning for tenders
• Technical support to Operations (hydraulic and mechanical trouble shooting)
• Support Purchase Asset & Condition and Project Teams
• Ministration and updating of maintenance and inspection routines according to manufacturer product information (OEM product information bulletins retrofits kits and upgrades as well as overhaul and OEM lists)
• Provide technical assistance and establish work scope of work for general repairs major repairs and overhauls of Major Drilling Equipment (modification overhaul rig-up and commissioning)
• Data management of H&P land rigs in terms of technical conditions and utilisation
• Collaboration with Performance Service Teams: Analysis of equipment downtime and development of strategic plans
• Ministration and actualization of strategic spare part lists for Major Drilling Equipment
• Supports Manager in the preparation improvement and optimisation of business processes
• Supports colleagues from other departments (tasks to be discussed and agreed on separately with Manager)
• Participates in projects (tasks to be discussed and agreed on separately with Manager)
• Provides support for special duties within the department and organisation as assigned by the Manager

Experience

• Relevant experience in the operation operation and maintenance of
  • Heavy machinery and hydraulics (e.g. from the agricultural and construction machinery sector)
  • Diesel engines
• Hands-on mentality
• Experience in the field of maintenance or operation of drilling rigs desirable. Career changers are also welcome

Behaviour and Skills

• Analytical mindset ability to self-motivate and assertiveness
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners
• Good written and spoken English skills (other languages are an advantage) in order to successfully support international projects
• Willingness to travel on business at home and abroad
• Basic commercial knowledge for technical support in tenders
• Confident handling of common software products (MS Office applications)

Minimum qualifications essential

• Engineering degree or technician training in the field of mechanical engineering mechatronics or comparable
