As a System Administrator supportingNAVAIRyoull collaborate with talented professionals to create innovative mission-critical solutions that empower naval aviation and defense operations. Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems enhance national security and drive technological advancement for our nation.
Responsibilities
- System Administrator with demonstrated experience performing System Administration functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems networks and maintaining and upgrading network infrastructures across the NAVAIR community.
- Install configure and support an organizations local area network (LAN) wide area network (WAN) and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users.
- Provide technical assistance to computer users.
- Analyze test troubleshoot and evaluate existing network system.
- Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
- Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities.
- Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages.
- Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution.
- Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning.
Qualifications
- Must have current Top Secret Clearance! US Citizenship required. - U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- At least 6-8 years of experience.
- Bachloros Degree
- Experience with the following:
- 6-8 years experience VMware/vSphere Enterprise
- Linux
- Software development environment
- Atlassian tools
- Familiarity with the following:
- Windows Server
- SAN
- Networking
- STIGs
- ACAS
- COMPTIA Security or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required.
- Operating system certification (i.e. Windows or Linux).
- Knowledge of networking principles theories and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts.
- Work environment is on-site not hybrid or remote.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91600.00/Yr. - USD $153000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
