Scope of Project
The State of South Carolina is looking for a Network Administrator - Advanced.
Why is this position open: New Position. To address increasing workload by supplementing Operations staff within the Network Operations Center to support enterprise network and identity services including SD-WAN PKI and secure authentication enhancements.
Why is this position open: New Position. To address increasing workload by supplementing Operations staff within the Network Operations Center to support enterprise network and identity services including SD-WAN PKI and secure authentication enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Support enterprise network and identity initiatives including SD-WAN deployment PKI lifecycle management and secure authentication services
Monitor identify and remediate issues with enterprise network and identity services
Support network connectivity and authentication services on Windows-based systems
Support connectivity and secure access on mobile devices (Apple devices)
Manage the network and identity infrastructure lifecycle
Create and maintain network documentation (diagrams coverage and design documentation)
Assist with deployment configuration and support of SD-WAN PKI and secure authentication solutions
Perform enterprise network deployments installations and upgrades
Perform firmware/software/security/feature upgrades across platforms
Monitor trouble ticket system and resolve assigned tickets
Provide troubleshooting for network and authentication issues
Assist staff and contractors with connectivity problems
Coordinate testing and validation of solutions
Follow State security and IT policies and standards
Work with Network Security and Server teams
Perform physical work including ladder usage and lifting 40 lbs
Provide regular status updates to project team

3 Years of Experience with Enterprise Network Infrastructure and LAN Administration
3 Years of Experience installing configuring and troubleshooting switches and wireless access points
3 Years of Experience with SD-WAN PKI and secure authentication services
3 Years of Experience troubleshooting network connectivity on Windows and mobile devices

Preferred Skills:
Certifications from CompTIA Cisco or Microsoft (active/inactive must be specified)
