6-8 General Music and Choir Teacher
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements and demonstrate the ability to:
Required Qualifications
- Properly Licensed with Iowa Board of Educational Examiners for this position with one or more of the following endorsements: 144: K-8 Musicor 145: 5-12 Music
Primary Responsibilities
- TheGeneral Music and Choir Teacher atthe Middle School(grades 6-8) provides standards-basedmusical instruction for students insixth througheighthgrade. This position supports student creativity skill development and appreciation of music.
- Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for and implementation of the school districts student achievement goals.
- Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the teaching position.
- Demonstrates competence in planning and preparing for instruction.
- Uses strategies to deliver instruction that meets the multiple learning needs of students.
- Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning.
- Demonstrates competence in classroom management.
- Engages in professional growth.
- Fulfills professional responsibilities established by the school district.

Compensation
- Current minimum annual salary: approximately $50224.00 with anticipated increase for the 26-27 school year.
