About the Team
InfraSec Reliability SRE and Ops runs the production security controls and the workflows that support them. We own SLOs on call change management and continuous improvement. We partner with InfraSec Innovation to receive operationalized controls and with Automation Engineering to turn mature workflows into code. Our approach is platform agnostic and works across public cloud and private cloud. We measure success by SLOs adoption and hours of toil removed.About the Role
You are a hands-on engineer with a primary focus on operations. Your job is to keep controls healthy handle the front line workload and make changes safe. Your main output is clear playbooks standard operating procedures and step-by-step workflows that anyone on the front line can execute. You incubate automation by turning real production tasks into well defined workflows with triggers inputs prechecks post verification rollback evidence capture and success criteria that are consistently repeatable. You hand these to Automation Engineering with ready to build acceptance criteria. You also operate what you design participate in on call and close reliability gaps through steady improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Front line operations. Own tickets and alerts respond quickly restore service and keep SLOs green.
Execute changes safely. Plan canaries perform rollouts verify results and roll back when needed with clear change records and communication.
Write playbooks and SOPs. Produce step-by-step actions with triggers inputs prechecks post verification rollback success criteria and evidence capture.
Incubate automation. Define workflow states approvals data schemas API contracts and ChatOps and ITSM payloads so work is ready for Automation Engineering to implement.
Maintain fleet health. Track agent coverage and configuration compliance across regions and platforms and drive remediation.
Strengthen observability. Define SLIs and SLOs build dashboards tune alerts and run weekly reviews to reduce noise and improve time to restore.
Improve telemetry quality. Keep collectors forwarders and queues healthy and measure success rate latency and backlog.
Lead problem management. Run post incident reviews and turn findings into durable fixes and updated playbooks.
Document and share. Keep runbooks knowledge base articles and service catalogs current and easy to follow.
Partner to outcomes. Work with InfraSec Innovation on operability and readiness and with Automation Engineering to ensure smooth handoffs and strong adoption.
About You
Basic Qualifications
Three to six years in security reliability platform or DevOps operations with a track record of running and improving production services.
Proven experience writing and operating SOPs and playbooks running change windows and supporting incident response.
Working proficiency with Python and Terraform to prototype small scripts and safe infrastructure changes when needed.
Comfortable across public cloud and private cloud.
Integrations experience with ITSM and ChatOps such as ServiceNow or Jira and Slack including approvals change records and evidence capture.
Bachelors in Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
Other Qualifications
Policy as code validation pipelines and drift detection and remediation.
Strong observability and SLO practices including metrics logs and traces.
Security and reliability mindset including least privilege and secret management.
Clear communication bias for simple solutions and strong collaboration across time zones.
