Job Summary
Global Strategic Sourcing Manager play a pivotal role at Amazon leading sourcing engagements across a wide range of business units to enable new initiatives to launch and scale rapidly. Global Strategic Sourcing Manager are expert practitioners in creating competitive environments and have a strong bias for decision-making rooted in data and analytics. They routinely advise senior Amazon leaders on innovative sourcing strategies that create sustainable long-term partnerships. They are highly effective communicators able to articulate the value proposition of partnering with procurement.
Key job responsibilities
- Establishing strong relationships with internal business partners; building a robust understanding of strategic business direction requirements and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories.
- Supporting execution of sourcing events across all indirect spend categories
- Delivering savings and increased spend under management by driving adoption of a automated self-service sourcing technology application
- Supporting enhancements and the product development roadmap of the self-service sourcing application based upon purchasing history and stakeholder sourcing requirements
- Managing the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx spend pattern analysis contract analysis bid evaluation negotiations and supplier consolidation.
- Working with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements focusing on total cost of ownership.
- Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies; maintaining procurement ethics in accordance with Amazons global policies.
- Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation
- Experience managing spend categories that include three or more of the following: IT Software IT Services Corporate Services Marketing Contingent labor Facilities and Real estate Capital Expenditure and Tail Spend (Indirect Categories)
- Experience with practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management benchmarking should-cost models RFX reverse auction contracting etc.)
- 5 years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations global contract management process improvement operational and financial analysis experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
