Specialist VI (Hourly)

Job Description Summary:

To provide temporary assistance. Responsible for the conceptualization planning design and implementation of marketing communications and multimedia initiatives that promote the Public and Social Services Divisions programs to increase awareness engagement and community outreach through digital print and social media platforms.

Job Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following

  • Lead and implement a comprehensive multi-channel communications and marketing strategy that drives program awareness recruitment and stakeholder engagement across social media email newsletters web and multimedia platforms.

  • Serve as the content creator for the divisions social media presence by monitoring engagement and use analytics to continuously improve reach and effectiveness.

  • Design visual and multimedia materials including flyers brochures videos and other assets that support recruitment events and the programs visibility.

  • Optimize the divisions websites and digital platforms to ensure accurate accessible and up-to-date information; train staff to support routine updates and maintain consistency.

  • Collaborate with the Dean Department Chairs Directors and community stakeholders to plan and implement outreach initiatives that expand program awareness and strengthen community relationships.

  • Track analyze and report performance metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and provide data-informed recommendations for strategy and resource allocation.

  • Present concepts and recommendations to the Dean Department Chairs Directors and incorporate feedback while ensuring all materials align with college brand standards and strategic priorities.

Knowledge

  • Layout and digital design.

  • Knowledge of strategic communication principles and current marketing best practice.

  • Extensive knowledge of managing current and emerging social media platforms.

  • Understanding of data and analytics to create reports reflecting the impact of media content whether by social media video or podcast.

  • Web development and administration.

  • Graphic design and solutions.

  • Emerging trends in web design functionality and usability.

  • Advanced knowledge of graphic design typography and color principles.

  • Understands the colleges culture of belonging and connection while embodying the values of Courage Compassion Joy and Yes.

  • Successful experience in managing media platforms and relations in all phases including building relationships with media and generating interest in media deliverables.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Technology Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency using Standard office and database software

  • Wordpress Constant Contact

  • Intermediate to advanced use of a variety of social media platforms and analytic tools.

  • Intermediate to advanced use of Adobe Suite.

Required Work Experience

  • Two years related experience.

Required Education

  • Associates degree.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is routinely performed in a standard office or similar environment.

  • Subject to standing walking sitting bending reaching kneeling pushing and pulling.

  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.

Safety
