Key Responsibilities

As the Accounting Clerk you will play a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring accurate timely processing of transactions and clear communication across departments. Your responsibilities will include:

Accounts Payable:

  • Process and verify vendor invoices ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents resolving discrepancies as needed.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements in a timely manner.
  • Apply customer payments monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections in a professional and respectful manner.

General Accounting & Administration:

  • Maintain accurate vendor and customer records within the accounting system.
  • Communicate with internal teams vendors and customers to address billing or payment inquiries.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and support general accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting Finance or Business Administration.
  • 3 years of experience in an accounting clerk Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable or similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience working with accounting or ERP systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable handling high-volume transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization.
  • A reliable proactive work ethic with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the confidence to work independently when required.
