Key Responsibilities
As the Accounts Payable Analyst you will oversee the full-cycle accounts payable function ensuring accurate timely and compliant processing of all payables while supporting month-end year-end and audit requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
Accounts Payable Processing & Transaction Management:
- Apply accounting knowledge to accurately process invoices expense reports check runs wire transfers and EFT transactions.
- Ensure all transactions are coded correctly and processed in accordance with accounting principles and internal policies.
Reconciliations & Reporting:
- Assist with month-end and year-end reconciliations of accounts payable and sub-ledger accounts including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare and review financial reports spreadsheets and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Ensure accounts payable processes and procedures are documented updated and effectively communicated to employees and vendors.
- Identify discrepancies resolve issues independently and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Audit Support & Documentation Management:
- Maintain accurate imaging and record retention of all accounts payable documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by gathering required documentation and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
- Work closely with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment issues and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Keep stakeholders informed of payment status discrepancies and process updates to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration or Finance preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting-related role ideally within full-cycle accounts payable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems and strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Advanced computer skills particularly in Microsoft Excel Word email and internet applications.

- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when resolving discrepancies.
