About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Educator provides support and clinical development/ training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The role formulates coordinates and evaluates unit based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures.
The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build:

The capacity of individuals to deliver safe evidenced based care incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement.
A patient and family focused culture that supports the NUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change.
The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery.

Ideal Candidate

Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Proven clinical education and leadership experience or advanced neuroscience nursing background.
Holds or working towards relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent work experience.
Experience in education; and care delivery models according to patient/service need.
Advanced communication and negotiation skills and experience in conflict resolution.
