Program Overview: Edison Academy is Brockton Public Schools alternative high school program serving over-age under-credited students through a flexible afternoon and evening instructional Re-Engagement Coach serves as a persistence strategist and case manager for the schools highest-risk learners. The primary goal of this role is to rebuild students connection to school by removing academic behavioral social-emotional and logistical barriers so that students re-enroll persist and successfully graduate or transition to postsecondary education or the should reference the job code Ad # Edison AcademyQualificationsBachelors degree required; Masters degree in Counseling Social Work Education Psychology or a related field preferred Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with over-age under-credited disengaged or high-risk secondary students in alternative education dropout recovery or youth development settings Demonstrated experience in case management attendance intervention and individualized student support planningKnowledge of graduation requirements credit recovery competency-based pathways and postsecondary transition planningTraining or experience in trauma-informed practices restorative approaches and/or motivational interviewing Ability to collaborate with families school staff and community agencies (e.g. DCF probation mental health providers workforce partners)Proficiency with student information systems and data-informed progress monitoringBilingual skills and experience working in culturally and linguistically diverse communities strongly preferredFlexibility to work non-traditional hours and conduct outreach in school home and community settings as neededKey ResponsibilitiesConduct targeted outreach to recently withdrawn chronically absent court-involved DCF-involved homeless or working studentsMaintain an active caseload (approximately 4075 students) and facilitate re-entry meetings with students and familiesDevelop and monitor Individualized Re-Engagement Success Plans addressing credit status attendance recovery identified barriers and short-term persistence goalsMonitor attendance daily and implement rapid-response interventions for emerging patterns of disengagementCoordinate schedules and supports that accommodate work childcare transportation and other life circumstancesEnsure students are appropriately placed in credit-bearing pathways and understand graduation requirements and timelines Facilitate access to tutoring credit recovery competency determination preparation and academic acceleration supportsProvide navigation and warm handoffs (not therapy) to school-based and community resources including adjustment counselors mental health agencies and basic needs supportsSupport student transition planning including postsecondary enrollment workforce placement certification programs FAFSA completion and career pathway alignmentCompensationStipend funded through the FY26 MassGrad Promising Practices Grant Compensation reflects work completed outside the regular school day including outreach case management coordination documentation and follow-upGrant will support one (1) part-time position with a stipend of $7000
