Basic Function: | We are seeking a full-time research assistant in the Department of Anthropology at Kent State University. The position is funded by National Institute on Aging grants (5 years) to examine the interrelationship of age-related changes in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases as well as neurodegenerative diseases in humans and nonhuman primates to understand their impact on longevity and health span. |

Examples of Duties: | Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing histology immunohistochemistry advanced unbiased stereology and protein addition the candidate will assist in day-to-day laboratory management ordering supplies training students on experimental techniques data analyses scientific presentations drafting publications and other duties as assigned by the principal investigators. |
