Director of Finance Foundation (Healthcare)
Salary 126k-214k DOE
A mission-driven healthcare foundation is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations. This leadership role supports a large hospital system and plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Overview
The Director of Finance provides strategic and operational oversight of the foundations financial activities. This role partners closely with executive leadership hospital stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure sound financial management compliance and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and direction to maintain the financial integrity of the foundation
Oversee all financial operations reporting and compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
Serve as liaison between the foundation and hospital system leadership
Develop monitor and manage annual operating and capital budgets
Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
Analyze and improve financial processes workflows and job design to enhance productivity and effectiveness
Set implement and evaluate annual goals aligned with the foundations mission and strategic priorities
Lead mentor and develop finance staff including hiring training scheduling performance evaluation and professional development
Provide recommendations regarding employee relations matters including disciplinary actions when appropriate
Stay informed of industry trends and integrate best practices into financial operations
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher (Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field preferred)
Minimum 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience
At least 4 years of experience working within a nonprofit organization
Minimum 4 years of experience supporting or working within a foundation
At least 1 year of experience applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong knowledge of financial reporting internal controls and compliance standards
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related discipline
Experience in healthcare or hospital-affiliated foundations
Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership
