Job Summary
We areseekinga highly skilled and experienced DevOps Lead and Solutions Architect to spearhead our technical initiatives transitioning multiple systems into the AWS cloud environment. This role involves leading the migration of containerized microservices using Kubernetes Elasticsearch and various databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth migration to the cloud.
TheDevOps lead willberesponsible for:
- Leadingthe technical migration of multiple systems into the AWS cloud environment.
- Designingandimplementingscalable and secure architectures for containerized microservices using Kubernetes.
- DevelopingandmaintainingElasticsearch clusters and associated databases.
- DesigningandimplementingCI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
- Collaboratingwith cross-domain teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Leadingthe migration of commercial enterprise GIS software to the cloud.
- Workingwithorganizationalleads todevelopandexecutea comprehensive migration strategy.
- Ensuringall solutions adhere to best practices for security scalability and reliability.
- Mentoringand guidingteam members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Providingtechnical leadership and support for cloud-based initiatives and projects.
Requirements:
- Twenty(20) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity within the Federal Government isrequired.
- A Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level Irequired; Level II desired
- Proven experience in leading cloud migration projects specifically to AWS.
- Experience with Linux server security and administration
- Strongexpertisein containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and database management.
- Proficiencyin designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI or AWSCodePipeline.
- Experience with enterprise GIS software and its migration to the cloud is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communicationand collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are preferred.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $220000-$260000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the companys comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors such as location the individuals education skills experience and competencies as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
