Job Summary

The Production Planning Supervisor oversees the development coordination and execution of production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and ontime delivery of products. This role leads the planning plan aligns production capacity with customer demand and collaborates closely with procurement manufacturing logistics and quality departments. The supervisor drives workflow optimization monitors material availability resolves scheduling conflicts and supports continuous improvement initiatives. By balancing resources minimizing downtime and maintaining accurate planning data.

The incumbent will play a key role in achieving operational excellence and meeting organizational performance goals.

What You Will Do

  • Excellent customer service focused on customer care and strong negotiation skills.
  • Lead and ensure the demand entry from all customer requirements sources.
  • Develop and communicate tactical and strategic production schedules ensuring alignment with customer demand capacity constraints and business goals.
  • Monitor WIP (workinprocess) and ensure production flow aligns with customer requirements.
  • Act as a thought leader and idea generator driving innovation in scheduling efficiency through Monthly idea generator system.
  • Utilize MRP systems and advanced planning tools to generate and optimize production schedules across fabrication welding and painting processes.
  • Lead process management initiatives to evaluate diagnose and optimize scheduling workflows.
  • Lead the document control management of planning processes guide them towards continuous improvement and successfully manage process audits.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts to resolve scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks.
  • Monitor and improve forecasting accuracy integrating inputs from multiple sources and leveraging historical data to support demand planning.
  • Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization adapting messaging to different audiences and promoting transparency in scheduling decisions.
  • Use Excel and/or Power BI to analyze production data generate insights and report performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Leading the Demand & Orders follow up of Production Planning Scheduling and control.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelors degree in industrial engineering business management computer science or related field.
  • Conversational English

What skills you will have

Planning: Tactical Strategic

  • Advanced skills in strategic production planning across short- mid- and long-term horizons.
  • Strong knowledge of resource alignment optimizing personnel equipment and materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools (Power BI Tableau etc.).

Problem Solving

  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities including root cause analysis and preventive action planning.
  • Strong leadership in multilevel team management and conflict management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels

Production Scheduling and Customer Service

  • Advanced scheduling expertise managing daily weekly and monthly production plans.
  • Strong adaptability in real-time schedule adjustments meeting delivery commitments.
  • Proficiency Customer service management
  • Proficiency in performance monitoring leveraging KPIs and dashboards.

The best candidates will also have:

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment or steel-based manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated capacity for customer service management.
  • Proficiency in Make-to-Order (MTO) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) production models.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

Additional information:

  • Location: Reynosa Tamaulipas MX
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • This position is face-to-face.
  • <10% of working time will be domestic & international travel.
  • Relocation not available for this position
