QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree from a recognized accredited college or university in communications journalism marketing public relations or a closely related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in communications marketing journalism public relations or a related field; experience in public education or a large organization strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated exceptional writing editing and storytelling skills including the ability to produce clear engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in managing multiple social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook Instagram X/Twitter and YouTube.
- Experience with digital and visual communications including basic graphic design and photo/video editing; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop InDesign Illustrator) and/or Canva preferred.
- Working knowledge of website content management systems and the ability to maintain accurate timely and engaging web content.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail sound judgment and professional discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with leadership campus staff and external partners.
- Proficiency using both PC and Mac platforms as well as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Willingness and flexibility to provide occasional after-hours support for events or time-sensitive communications.

$48593 (Pay Grade BA 2)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Communications Marketing & Branding
- Manage and maintain Community Programs social media accounts in collaboration with the Director.
- Develop content that highlights ELCs Club Rewind enrichment programs staff achievements and department initiatives.
- Create marketing and recruitment materials including flyers digital graphics and announcements
- Assist with advertising programs job opportunities enrollment periods and special events
- Support storytelling efforts that showcase the positive impact of Community Programs on students families and staff
- Maintain and regularly update the Community Programs website to ensure accurate engaging and timely information
- Ensure consistency in branding tone and messaging aligned with district and department expectations
Collaboration & Special Projects
- Work closely with department leadership on launches campaigns and strategic initiatives
- Support department-wide events recognition efforts and community engagement activities
- Serve as a collaborative partner to ELC and Club Rewind leadership teams as appropriate
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the Director
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to manage frequent interruptions
- Prolonged computer use
- Occasional after-hours support for events or urgent communications
- Maintain emotional control under stress
