Payroll Project Manager 6 Month Contract (Isando)
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a new payroll system. This role will oversee project planning governance vendor management and stakeholder engagement to ensure a successful and compliant go-live.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive payroll project plan.
Drive delivery across design data testing and readiness activities.
Manage RAIDD (Risks Actions Issues Decisions Dependencies) logs.
Provide regular project status reporting and governance materials.
Ensure stage gate readiness and compliance with payroll requirements.
Coordinate stakeholders across HR Finance Payroll IT and leadership.
Serve as the primary interface with the payroll vendor.
Support change management training and business readiness.

Requirements
Proven experience implementing payroll systems (vendor/outsourced models).
Strong project management skills across full lifecycle delivery.
Knowledge of South African payroll tax and compliance.
Experience working with third-party payroll vendors (ADP Ceridian etc.).
Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills.
Strong communication and project reporting capability.
Desirable: PRINCE2 PMP or Agile certification; experience in global payroll programmes.
