Role Overview
ITC Foods is looking for a seasoned Regulatory Affairs professional to lead regulatory compliance for food products across the US and international markets. The role requires strong expertise in US export regulations and global labelling compliance.
US export experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
Lead compliance for food products across US (FSMA 21 CFR FDA USDA including NOP) EU GCC and other export markets.
Ensure regulatory and food safety compliance for finished products ingredients packaging and sustainability requirements of importing countries.
Prepare and manage product approvals facility registrations prior notices and organic certifications.
Product & Labelling Compliance
Ensure compliance of raw materials ingredients and finished goods (ingredient composition contaminant & residue limits GRAS & food additive provisions).
Review and approve labelling and marketing claims as per international regulations.
Risk Management & Regulatory Intelligence
Monitor global regulatory changes and conduct impact assessments on product portfolio.
Develop Horizon Scanning/Mapping systems for risk identification assessment and management.
Identify and mitigate regulatory risks related to exports.
Cross-Functional & Advocacy
Partner with R&D Quality Procurement and Supply Chain to integrate compliance into NPD and sourcing.
Support VP & Head – Regulatory Compliance Policy & Advocacy.
Build relationships with trade associations and regulators; participate in technical working groups and CODEX-related activities (preferred).
Systems Audits & Training
Develop AI/IT-based dashboards and compliance tools.
Participate in audits and train staff on regulatory policies.
Investigate consumer complaints and drive corrective & preventive actions.
Protect intellectual property of products and processes.
Requirements
10 years of experience in food regulatory affairs.
Strong expertise in US export regulations (FSMA FDA 21 CFR USDA mandatory).
In-depth knowledge of international food labelling and global regulatory frameworks.
Strong analytical skills and ability to lead compliance initiatives across markets.
Experience in CODEX activities preferred.
