Environmental Tectonics Corporation a growing dynamic US-based Company located just outside of Philadelphia PA is seeking an Electrical Engineer support the design and development of stand-alone distributed I/O SCADA and network-based controls systems for integration with a variety equipment.
The successful applicant will have:
- The ability to apply basic electrical engineering principles to design fabricate modify enhance and evaluate moderately complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems for new and existing products within budget and time constraints.
- Experience developing complete control systems including panel assemblies wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (required).
- Experience with CAD software (Autodesk Product Design Suite).
- Familiarity with measuring devices engineering lab equipment and standard engineering tools.
- Intermediate level computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working Knowledge of electrical codes (i.e. NEC NFPA UL508A) is desired.
- 5-10 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and design panel assembly drawings with full wiring diagrams and control system schematics using AutoCAD.
- Identify issues in existing designs and recommend implement and document approved changes.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the mechanical design team to ensure system integration.
- Provide technical guidance to electrical technicians and assemblers.
- Assist test engineers in the component and bench testing.
