Job Summary
Position Summary
A growing energy technology company is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong background in power generation systems gas turbine integration and electrical packaging for distributed energy applications.
This role will support the development installation and maintenance of advanced micro-turbine products and integrated system solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep technical knowledge of electrical systems in industrial or energy environments and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support electrical systems for microturbine-based power generation packages
- Develop electrical schematics wiring diagrams and panel layouts for high-efficiency distributed energy systems
- Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers to optimize system integration
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards (NEC UL CE etc.)
- Participate in build reviews factory acceptance testing (FAT) and commissioning activities
- Support testing and validation of turbine control systems and electrical interfaces
- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues related to power output grid integration and control electronics
- Prepare documentation for electrical components and installation procedures
- Coordinate with supply chain and vendors to specify electrical equipment and components
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (required); Masters preferred
- 5 years of experience in power generation turbine systems or industrial equipment environments
- Hands-on experience with electrical system packaging and integration
- Familiarity with rotating equipment switchgear PLCs and protection systems
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC UL ISO)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical SolidWorks Electrical and Microsoft Office
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously
Preferred Experience
- Experience with micro-turbine technologies or gas turbine controls
- Electrical PE license or progress toward licensure
- Familiarity with grid interconnection standards and hybrid energy systems
- Exposure to international compliance and export standards (e.g. CE RoHS)

Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction across shop floor test areas and customer sites
- Occasional travel for commissioning testing and field support
