Job Description
Duties:
- Identify collect and process past due accounts through direct phone email or mail contact with current and former (graduated or withdrawn) students.
- Assist students in establishing in-house payment plans while ensuring timely follow up on payment agreements.
- Follow-up with students parents third party payers and Stevens departments to resolve delinquent account questions concerns and to resolve any incorrect account information in a timely manner.
- Reconcile the student receivables for students not enrolled in the current semester on a monthly basis.
- Prepare delinquent accounts for placement with outside pre-collection or collection agency and follow up coordination with agency as to needed information and/or documents.
- Review student accounts over 360 days old to determine how much and which student accounts to recommend to be written off quarterly.
- Ensure payments for students and collection agencies are processed timely and accurately.
Qualifications:
- 3 yrs exp
- bachelors degree

Compensation Range
In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act the annual base range for this position is . This range represents the Universitys good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the positions scope and responsibilities the candidates experience education skills internal equity market data and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget qualifications and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation such as incentives stipends or other applicable pay components.
