Description

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking professional to take on a Senior Advising Innovation Consultant role focused on translating advanced concepts into market-ready solutions.

This position centers on strategic guidance for innovation activities intellectual property development and the creation of viable business models that support technology commercialization. A core responsibility of the role is advising and supporting the development of an electronic sock (e-sock) including system design prototyping strategies and planning and execution of end-user testing. You will contribute to innovation workflows patent generation and market positioning ensuring the technology evolves in line with user needs and commercial potential. You will also play a key role in identifying and securing funding for startup initiatives and applied innovation projects.

Within a technical development environment your responsibilities will include overseeing electronic engineering activities supporting testing and validation of hardware components ensuring proper operation and maintenance of electronic equipment and training colleagues on tools systems and workflows related to the e-sock addition you will contribute to educational initiatives and collaborate on technical disseminations related to wearable electronics innovation processes and product development. This role suits a proactive and collaborative individual with a strong interest in wearable technologies user-centered design and innovation maturation. You will work closely with engineers clinicians researchers and end-users to help drive a promising technology from development to real-world impact.

The job
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join us in a consultancy role focusing on technology maturation and innovation. As a Senior Advising Innovation Consultant your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and advise innovation activities supporting the evolution of a wearable electronic product from early development to deployment.
  • Shape intellectual property strategy including invention disclosure patent positioning and competitive landscape analysis.
  • Guide technical decision-making for hardware sensing and system integration within a wearable electronics platform.
  • Drive user-centric validation by structuring and overseeing real-world testing and feedback cycles.
  • Translate technical progress into viable commercialization and business pathways.
  • Contribute to funding strategies by supporting grant applications partnerships and early-stage investment efforts.
  • Build internal capability through technical training documentation and dissemination of results via reports and publications.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or master degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry Materials Science Polymer Chemistry or related field.
  • Strong background in wearable-desing and end-user-testing.
  • Knowledge of characterization techniques mentioned above.
  • Experience in proposal writing and fund-raising.
  • Proven track record of communicating research effectively.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 4 years.
