Job description

The Danish Centre for Health Economics is dedicated to applying empirical methods as well as economic theory to answer research questions with high health policy relevance and to contribute to the improvement of the methods applied. Our main research themes are 1) health relatedbehaviour incentives and motivation; 2) understanding barriers and facilitators that hinder/enhance equity in health and access to health care; 3) eliciting patients and the publics preferences and values; 4) evaluating costs and effects of new interventions/policies and 5) measuring burden of disease. We offer courses at the bachelor master or PhD level level in Health Economics Evaluation Economic Evaluation Economics of Prevention Pharmacoeconomics and Registry Analysis.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who can document experience with registry data analysis and advanced quantitative methods and/or experience with conducting cost analyses and economic evaluations that are useful for policy making. Successful candidates must document an ability to conduct research published or publishable in well esteemed health economic economic public health medical and/or health policy journals.

Succesful candidates must also be able to document teaching experience within the field of health economics.


We expect the successful candidate to actively engage in the development of the research centre and are looking for candidates who have the desire and competences to play a whole-hearted role in an interdisciplinary and enthusiastic research environment. The candidate is expected to contribute to the centres teaching portfolio. This includes development of courses and teaching activities.

Salary and terms of employment

Appointment to the position will be in accordance with the salary agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
