Cantillon Group an award-winning and growing convenience retailer is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Retail Cash Office Support professional to join our vibrant team based in Mount Oval Cork.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys working across both cash control and store operations contributing to the smooth running of our business.
This position can be offered on either a full-time basis or as a part-time role (2025 hours per week) primarily weekdays offering an excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Office & Financial Control
Preparation of routine daily and weekly reports and reconciliations
Generation review and analysis of cash-related reports
Store balance sheet reconciliations for cash coupons gift cards and related accounts
Daily lodgement reconciliation
Provide cash office support across the business
Identify and assess risks in relation to cash control processes
Support continuous improvement initiatives in cash control procedures
Act as a key point of contact for store queries relating to cash and reconciliations
Administration & Store Support
General administration duties to support store and head office operations
Engage and delight customers with a friendly and professional approach
Support the Store Manager in daily running of the Store
Provide expert advice and assistance to ensure outstanding customer care
Support the maintenance of optimal stock levels
Elevate store standards through strong housekeeping merchandising and service excellence
Undertake additional duties as assigned by store management
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working within a retail store cash office control function (advantageous)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
