Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are hiring a Staff Grade Physiotherapist in a Hospital in Galway Ireland.

Part-Time (25 hours weekly) Contract Duration: Maternity Leave Cover

Responsibilities

  • Assess plan implement and evaluate individualised physiotherapy treatment programmes for patients.

  • Carry out comprehensive physical assessments and develop evidence-based intervention plans.

  • Deliver physiotherapy services across designated clinical areas (e.g. medical surgical orthopaedics elderly care neurology respiratory rehabilitation etc.).

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.

  • Maintain accurate up-to-date clinical documentation in line with CORU and organisational standards.

  • Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Provide patient and family education on treatment plans exercises and discharge planning.

  • Participate in discharge planning and community liaison where appropriate.

  • Supervise and support Physiotherapy Assistants and students as required.

  • Contribute to service development quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.

  • Comply with professional standards policies procedures and health & safety regulations.

  • Participate in in-service training CPD activities and mandatory training programmes.



Requirements

  • CORU registered and a member of ISCP (or eligible for membership).

  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience preferred (Irish experience desirable).

  • Exceptional new graduates with relevant Irish healthcare experience will be considered.

  • Must be currently residing in Ireland with valid permission to work.

  • Available to commence employment in early April 2026.

  • Postgraduate qualification is desirable.

  • Outpatient experience preferred (private practice primary care or hospital setting).

  • Demonstrated experience in or commitment to ongoing quality improvement initiatives including audit.

  • Strong commitment to maintaining the highest clinical and professional standards.

  • Experience or interest in service and business development within an outpatient setting.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
