Compensation: $22.00 Hourly

TheFoodBankoftheRockiesDriver1Non-CDLwillbeinvolvedwithmanydrivingassignments suchasPartner Agency orders Donor pickups Food Drive pickups Grocery Rescue routes The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)/Everyday Eats routes and occasionally Mobile Pantry Driver 1 Non-CDL is responsible for pickup and delivery of food products supplies and materials to various sites; as well as loading and unloading products from trucks. Driving vans food trucks and 26 Box Trucks less than 26000lbs role regularly interacts with volunteers partner agencies donors and the general public.

The mission of Food Bank of the Rockies is to ignite the power of community to nourish people facing hunger. We provide food and necessities to people in need through signature programs and by teaming up with hundreds of Hunger Relief Partners to serve communities across Colorado and Wyoming. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Pickupdonatedfoodproductsfromfooddrivesanddonorsanddeliverthemtoagencies
  • Unloadincomingproductsaswellasloadthetruckwithoutboundfoodproductsaccordingtodelivery specifications and within Food Bank of the Rockies policies
  • Maintainanorganizedcleanandsanitizedcabandcargoareaandupkeepfoodhandlingequipment.
  • ResponsibleforperformingdailyvehicleinspectionsandothervehicleschedulesaccordingtoDOT regulations
  • Performlightvehiclemaintenancetasks(fluidlevelstiremaintenanceandsanitation)
  • Maintainfoodindustrystandardsandcertificationforproperproducthandlingstorageanddistributionin accordance with Food Bank of the Rockies and Feeding America standards
  • Assistincommunicatingwithandmaintainingcongenialrelationshipswithdonorsagenciesand volunteers
  • Maintainreceiptsinvoicesandotherrequiredpaperworkforeachsite
  • Coverroutesforotherdriverswhenneeded
  • Onoccasionassistswithwarehouseduties;record-keepingwasteinventorycountssanitation equipment building and grounds maintenance as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Mustpossessavaliddriverslicenseandexcellent drivingrecord
  • Minimum 21 years of age required
  • Priorexperienceworkinginawarehouseenvironmentstronglypreferred
  • Priorexperienceworkingwithlow-incomecommunitiespreferred
  • Bilingual(Spanish)aplus

Expected Hours of Work:

Thisroleisconsideredfull-timeworkingapproximately40hoursperweekandiseligibleforovertimeforanyhours workedover40inaworkweek. WorkscheduleisfromMondaytoFriday 6:00am2:30pm mayoccasionallywork evenings and Saturdays. Local travel only no overnight trips are required. Travel is primarily local during the business day.

Compensation:

$22.00 Hourly
