Job Summary:
As a Field Service Technician youll be the face of Xylem at customer sites responsible for ensuring systems run safely and efficiently. Youll troubleshoot and maintain mechanical electrical and diesel equipment perform preventative maintenance manage parts inventory and proactively address safety issues. Youll interface with customers and work in dynamic environments often across multiple sites with diverse technologies.

  • Execute field service activities including troubleshooting preventative maintenance and inventory management.

Travel & Driving:

  • Local travel is required daily
  • Must meet all driver safety and compliance requirements including providing a valid drivers license clean driving record and ability to obtain a CDL (Class A or B).

Forms & Certifications Required:

  • Driver application MVR disclosure/release forms FMCSA acknowledgement drug/alcohol statement medical certificate and other compliance documentation.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain CDL (Class A or B with endorsements).
  • Preferred: 1 year of related technical work experience (0-2 years acceptable).
  • Ability to obtain all required clearances (e.g. TWIC DISA) and DOT Medical Card.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Mechanical electrical diesel or fusion experience a plus depending on business unit.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Technically proficient and skilled in troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communicator who can synthesize technical info and deliver exceptional customer service.

The estimated pay range for this position is $44100 to $70600. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location.
