Description

The Product Engineer is a highly visible role supportingEmersons Automation products and solutions. Additionally you will play a meaningful part in driving global initiatives that support our strategic growth in the process control industries.

IN THIS ROLE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL:

  • Provide support for Emersons Automation products and solutions.
  • Provide resolution for automation system issues relating to Real-Time Controllers I/O and associated products.
  • Work directly with customers Emerson Technical Support offices or representatives Global Service Center (GSC) engineers and development engineers on technical solutions.
  • Provide feedback to our Product Marketing & Technology teams regarding end user requirements.
  • Travel (estimate 2-5 trips/year typically a week or less per trip) to customer sites.
  • Create and review Knowledge Base Article content to inform the field about Product Information.
  • Develop the ability to generate close consultative long-term relationships with key Emerson customers to assist with their automation and operational needs.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Computer Science or related STEM degree
  • 3years of experience in a process plant environment with controls systems
  • Direct experience of Process Automation/Control in the chemical Oil and Gas and/or pharmaceutical industries
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Filed Networks such as Modbus IP Profinet etc.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English is required to collaborate with a global customer base.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
    • Individuals with temporary visas such as E F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT) H-1 H-2 L-1 B J or TN or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire. MUST be US Citizen or possess a Green Card

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Masters degree in Engineering Computer Science or related STEM degree
  • 7 years of experience with Emersons automation systems preferably in a process plant environment.
  • Working Knowledge of Emerson DeltaV.
  • Domain Expertise with one or more technology subject areas represented within Emersons automation products and solutions
