Job Summary
The integration team for Accumn business manages all external and internal integrations for all Accumn products. The scope comes with different varieties and configurations based on customer system expectations. There is a constant endeavor to build any capability as a self-serve configuration so that it can be reused for multiple clients at scale and without developer intervention. This allows us to leverage any existing capabilities and make features available as configs. Another vertical within the team manages important customer facing applications. The role demands technical ability to handle complex applications at scale as well as nuances to understand customer impact and priority.
Core Responsibilities
1. Fintech Engineering & Hands-on Code
Lead by Example: Spend significant time in the codebase. You are expected to tackle complex architectural challenges specifically around API integrations and delivering output in custom formats.
Tech Stack Ownership: Drive the evolution of our stack (typically involving Java Microservices and high-performance databases)
Security & Compliance: Implement "Security by Design." Ensure all products meet fintech standards for data privacy audit trails and encryption
2. Strategic Team Leadership
Mentorship: Manage a team of 5-10 engineers. Conduct technical 1-on-1s that focus on code quality design patterns and career progression
Hiring: Actively participate in sourcing and interviewing to scale the Ahmedabad engineering hub with top-tier local talent
Process Excellence: Implement rigorous Agile/Scrum methodologies ensuring high velocity without sacrificing the accuracy required in financial data
3. Product & Data Strategy
Data Reliability: Given our focus on customer facing journeys you will focus a lot on the TAT within which data will be delivered to the customer system.
Stakeholder Alignment: Work with the leadership at Accumn to align technical roadmaps with business goals like self-serve journeys and retiring legacy systems.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
The 12-Years Track Record: Extensive experience in backend development using java frameworks including Spring Spring boot etc. Extensive experience in API architecture and handling at scale.
Proven Leadership: At least 5 years in a formal leadership role (Lead or Manager) managing teams of 8 engineers
Cloud Fluency: Deep expertise with AWS Azure or GCP specifically in microservices architecture and Kubernetes
Database Mastery: Proficiency in RDBMS (PostgreSQL MySQL) NoSQL (MongoDB) Redis

Required Skills:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field Proven experience as a Full stack developer with 8 years of experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of Java programming language Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL MongoDB or Cassandra Experience with web application frameworks such as Spring Flask or Django Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure Experience with DevOps tools and practices such as Docker Kubernetes or Ansible Strong leadership and project management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
