| Job Description |
What you will be doing: - Provide hands-on lineside engineering support for a production line driving improvements across Safety Quality Delivery and Cost.
- Lead process and equipment optimization initiatives to increase capacity reduce waste improve quality and lower costs using data-driven methods.
- Design modify and implement machine tooling and fixture improvements including installation debugging and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot and support cam-driven equipment integrated with pneumatic servo and PLC-controlled systems and sensors.
- Spend 70–80% of time on the manufacturing floor supporting troubleshooting maintenance and continuous improvement activities in a fast-paced environment.
- Support capital projects by providing design input installation assistance and technical leadership.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Operations EHS R&D and equipment vendors to execute improvements and resolve issues.
- Manage small to mid-scale projects including CAR preparation vendor selection contractor oversight and cost control.
- Maintain and update engineering documentation (SOPs PMs ECNs BOMs validations).
- Train and support production and maintenance teams on new equipment processes and safe work practices.
Experience you will need: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering with strong on-the-floor involvement.
- Hands-on expertise in mechanical design equipment modification and troubleshooting.
- Experience with cam-driven machinery integrating pneumatic servo and PLC-based systems.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (preferred); ability to create and modify technical drawings for tooling and fixtures.
- Strong understanding of maintenance principles and collaboration with maintenance teams.
- Experience managing multiple improvement and capital projects simultaneously.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Clear communicator able to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in a high-speed production-focused environment.
