QAQC Inspector

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This positionis responsible forthe following: Other duties may be assigned.

1. PerformsQualityControl/Assuranceand Field Inspections as well as preparationsofInspection Reports and Sketches.

1. Complete and document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste.

1. Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials in-process production and finished products; recording quality results.

1. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

1. Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.

1. Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.

1. Coordination with Production Customers andThird-PartySurveyorsas required.

1. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Required Education & Experience:

1. High School/GEDpreferred.

1. Threeto fouryears of Quality Control / NDT/ NDE and/or NACEexperience in amaritime or oil & gas industry preferred.

1. Or5-6 years of Welding/Fitting experience in a Fabrication Shop or Shipyard.

Working Conditions:

1. Open-air conditions such as noisy hot cold as well as in anoffice-controlledenvironment.

1. Must wear hearing eye headprotectionand proper PPE.

1. Some climbing (100 feet) and lifting (50 lbs.) involved.

1. Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights while wearing fall prevention equipment.

1. Working with hot and sometimes hazardous materials.

1. Aboard shipsrigsboth on and offshore as well asinconfined spaces.

1. The workmayrequire standing on a variety of surfaces and at differing angles bending overcrouchingand climbing up and over obstructions such as scaffolding ladders and internal barge and boat structural members.

Necessary Equipment Operation:

1. Generalinspectionmeasuring and testing equipment.

1. General Computer skills

Special Skills:

1. NDE/ NDT and/or NACESkillspreferred.

1. Level 2 VT PT and MT certifications

1. Knowledge of WeldingMaterials and Codes/Specificationspreferred.

1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand codes/specifications sketches and technical manuals.

1. Ability to work under deadlines and schedule pressures.

1. Strong Organizational skills.

1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

1. High performance anda strongteam player.
